Milan won the Trofeo TIM after Christian Abbiati was the hero in a penalty shoot-out, saving Sulley Ali Muntari's spot-kick on his Inter debut.

The final round of the Trofeo TIM was the mini Derby della Madonnina, as the Rossoneri had beaten Juventus on penalties after a 2-2 draw and the Nerazzurri lost 1-0 to the hosts in Turin.

Muntari made his debut just 24 hours after completing his £12m move from Portsmouth, while Kaka's younger brother Digao played in central defence for Milan and Christian Abbiati took on the gloves.

Kaka curled inches past the far post and there were four substitutions, with Luca Antonini, Cristian Brocchi, Luis Jimenez and Mario Balotelli coming off the bench. Nicolas Andre Burdisso threw himself at an Antonini strike to defend the goal, but Abbiati performed a fantastic save to tip Olivier Dacourt's header off the goalline.

Muntari tried to score a stunning goal on his Inter debut, but again Abbiati palmed away the snapshot.

David Suazo and Milan youth team player Osuji were also introduced, but Jimenez and Balotelli wasted good chances with wayward finishing. Inter should have taken the lead on 38 minutes when Abbiati did well to parry Suazo in a one-on-one, but when the Honduras international cut back for Balotelli, the unmarked striker shinned it well wide.

There were no goals and it went to a shoot-out that would decide the winner of the Trofeo TIM. Juventus had four points (one for a draw, three for the victory) and Milan two after the same draw and another point for the shoot-out success.

Kaka stepped up first and flicked the ball over Francesco Toldo and Adriano sent Abbiati the other way. Massimo Oddo and Luis Figo both saw their penalties saved after juddering run-ups.

Marek Jankulovski fired powerfully into the bottom corner and Abbiati couldn't quite get his fingertip to Suazo's shot.

Giuseppe Favalli ballooned over the bar, but Abbiati levelled the scores immediately with a good save on Jimenez. Brocchi converted and youngster Santon took Inter's decisive spot-kick, squirming under the goalkeeper's body.

After the lottery of five it was still all even, so the teams continued. Digao sent Toldo the wrong way, but Suntari's weak finish was saved on his Inter debut so Milan won the shoot-out and the Trofeo TIM on four points thanks to their superior record against Juve.

  1. 贏親呢個盃仔都冇好嘢,可以宣布AC與今屆盟主無緣啦!
